The Palais Omnisport of Paris Bercy, France, will host the seventh ‘Guidon d’Or’, on the 15th of January. The prestigious indoor Supermoto will gather many riders from various disciplines: former off-road stars Jeff Ward, Darryl Atkins and Kurt Nicoll, AMA Superbike riders Eric and Ben Bostrom, Boris and Stéphane Chambon (respectively ‘04 World Supermoto S1 runner-up and ’99 World Supersport Champion), but also Supermoto specialists as Stéphane Blot, Eddy Seel and Jérôme Giraudo (reigning Supermoto S2 Champion).
There will also be some faces familiars to the Grand Prix paddock: David Checa, who won the Endurance World Championship last year and Randy de Puniet, who will compete in the 250 World Championship with the AAC Repsol Aspar team.
“I entered the Guidon d’Or a few times, but it’s been a while I haven’t done it. I have some great memories of this event,” said de Puniet. “It’s always a good weekend of racing and the atmosphere is great there. Racing in Paris is very special to me, the crowd is incredible.”
Tickets for the Guidon d’Or can be booked online on the ticketnet.fr website.
