I've recently really got into supermoto. I have a cousin who built an awesome wr250 supermoto and i fell in love with it. I really want to build a supermoto and was wondering where to start. I have a 2012 crf250r but i use it for motorcross and trail riding and didn't really want to convert it. Is there an easier or preferred bike to make a supermoto and should it be 450 or 250? Just wanted to get some info to get me started on my search for a bike and build. also is the drz400sm as good as say a built supermoto? Any input would be great! thanks!

First off, welcome to SMJ !!!

Second, it really depends on what you want to do with it. Street riding, racing, are you planning to do any offroading with it, etc... Where do you live and what are the local laws? If you share your background (experience) and what your plans are for the bike, we can help find a better match for you.
Thanks! Well i definitely want it street legal but probably wont do much or any offroad since i have another bike. I live in Georgia and the laws are here http://www.americanmotorcyclist.com/rights/State-Laws.aspx?stateid=10 (basically at least one mirror, headlight, tailight, and turn signals.
