Some of my races are in obscenely hot weather. Last year I wore roadrace leathers for everything but that wasn't the most pleasant.

I was thinking of picking up some dirt gear. Any brand suggestions? This is all kart track stuff so I'm thinking that knee pads and upper body armor under typical MX gear will be adequate. Still planning on wearing roadrace gloves.

my leathers are perforated. they're still pretty damn hot when it's 105F.

I could try something like that, but I'd rather start off trying the cheap option (dirt gear).

When you post, do the posts you've quoted get run through autocorrect as well as the upsizing? I'm surprised that the quote is slightly different than what I posted.

the Klim Mohave pants are over boot rather than under boot like I'm used to seeing, is there an advantage to that?

It keeps dirt and water out of your pants and they don't have to bunch up at the knees when you aren't sitting with your feet on the pegs. Look at Valentino Rossi's Dainese leathers , they're over the boot too.
