My front brake pads were pretty much toast at 10.7k miles. I have been bleeding my front brakes every two or three rides lately. I would get a bubble or two out them.

They didn't really feel mushy, but lost a little firmness at the lever. I'll find out if things were getting too hot because of the pads being thin causing that feeling?

I think I let them go about 2k miles too long. I bought some EBC FA322/4HH pads. Btw, my Husky dealer said they didn't have access to any parts while BMW is busy reorganizing. I found the pads at a local Yamaha/Harley dealer.

I would also pull the pad out of the caliper to do your inspection. They don't necessarily have to wear even on all four sides.

I put new pads in just recently. I didn't have any on hand to compare too. Installed EBC race compound. 3 racing seasons so they must be getting thin. Wrong. I got a spare set now. I had air getting in the first season. Just a loose fitting. Saw seepage. Twist of the wrist.
