Agreed! It was a very close race, it went all the way to the end, and the crowd did cheer when Ron took the lead. Definately a weekend highlight.MarkR said:The race between you and Kurt was one of the best of the weekend. All the others had run away pros take off and leave the field. Your race for 1st was the way racing should be -- fighting for 1st and a super close finish. Now that's fun to watch!
Where exactly did you go dirt biking? The weather was great for it: Rain = no dust. Run into any snow? I've ridden a lot around the area, China Hat, Millican, 4-Corners & the butte behind Eagle Crest. Plus a bunch of dual-sport trips down towards Fort Rock, X-Mas Valley and beyond. Did you know there are huge sand dunes/ORV area SE of X-Mas Valley? If you know of other riding areas nearby, please share. Maybe we should go out there together sometime. The season for Central Ore riding is really just starting.outofcontrol said:This race is a fun event, and something unique, but I really had more fun riding the desert during the day. Sunday was killer!
Hooray for Kevin! They didn't pay down to where I wound up- 20th or something -but that's OK. Now that you're a pro, you can demand start money just for showing up! But don't quit your day job until the contract is signed. :rofl:outofcontrol said:I got a check for $65 a couple days ago, and all of a sudden I feel better about the whole thing. I'll ride if I'm getting paid... Yo, I'm pro!!!
