Anyone ever seen dual front brakes on a supermoto? I'm curious to know if it's been done. I would think it could done for pretty cheap with complete setups off of new supersports going for under $100 on ebay. Use a streetbike wheel that is setup for dual rotors. The only hangup I can see is figuring out a way to mount the caliper on the right side of the fork. Maybe find another set of forks and use two left sides? I think it could work on my XR as I believe the castings for the caliper mount are more or less centered. Could it really be that simple? And would it be useable? A single 320 mm disc and 4 pot can chuck me over the bars pretty good as it is...

Waste of time and money in my opinion :headshake . One 320 rotor with a good caliper is all you could ever need. Two rotors and calipers is just un-needed weight.

That would be going backwards. Most of the fastest roadracers convert to single disk from dual if they are light enough to get away with it. I bet this will be the norm as the carbon ceramic stuff starts trickling down. Imagine 1 finger front brake with a 220mm carbon ceramic disk! It will happen.
