I've been doing a lot of research on this conversion lately and everyone seems to hide their info on the build. I think it would definitely be worth the time and money spent to do the conversion rather than just upgrading the pogo sticks on the stock DR. I haven't found any cons to the setup (which I'm sure there are). So I think we should start a thread purely about converting the stock DR setup with RMZ and DRZ parts. Lets put all the info we can together in one thread.

It seams it's an easy conversion up front with the RMZ forks. You need to triple clamps of the RMZ but The bearings are the same size for both so it's almost a direct swap. Their's just a few issues with the headlight mounting bracket, ignition placement and a few other little little things. Also you'll have to use the RMZ front axle, and brake, which I think is too small for a motard. I think this would be a huge improvement over stock and all these guys seams to love it. But they're all on off road bikes, and I'm trying to find out info about motards with these mods?

Then the rear end is even more hazy. I've found posts of people swapping out the entire rear end for the RMZ setup, swing arm and all. I've also heard of swapping out for the DRZ shock, and the combination of DRZ swing arm and RMZ shock. Again no one really has a good build thread or blog.

This is the best build info I've seen.

Here is some someone trying to hide their info about the swap, I don't understand why????

A few years later were able to do the RMZ 450 rear end swap to the DR 650?

It's been a few years since you wrote about this. Was it successful or anyone else stumbling upon this have any leads. The links that you posted were extremely helpful thanks... I have the RMZ450 front end parts on order for the swap, but want to dive into the spongy rear end at the same time. My initial thought was the RMZ 450 shock swap, but can't find any info on if it works or not. If not what have others done to take care of this? Thanks in advance for any leads.
