How important is the crank holder bolt for the 690/701 if you're not removing the cam chain to change the shims? It's not under pressure from the springs, so it shouldn't want to rotate. I have a 2017 husqvarna 701 with the newer engine. And supposedly you, push the cam lever clip up and remove then slide the cam lever out of the way to expose the shims. Is there a way that this could go wrong that I'm not considering?
