Aloha,
I have a 2004 625 SMC.
I think the clutch is starting to go or there needs to be some kind of adjustment.
The problem only happens when it is hot out and I am riding around town.
Essentially, I shift into gear, give it gas, let out the clutch and power away and the engine spins up.
I just got back from a long three days worth of riding averaging 300 miles a day. And it was hot out but it wasn't stop and go. And it seemed fine.
But when i got home and was riding arouind town in the heat sure enough, i whack the throttle and the motor just spins until it catches up again.
Clutch slip?
So what do i need to replace? Just springs? Or Friction and pressure plates? The bike doesn't have a slipper clutch.
Thanks
Eric
