Hey guys! So I'm in the market for a utility trailer to tow my bike too and from local track days, but I don't really know how to recognize a good deal. This is the best trailer I've found for the most reasonable price:

Problem is, I don't know how much to offer. Up until today, I've never been in the market for a trailer. If it's worth going for, how much would you guys offer (fair price)?

for that kind of money you can get a super nice aluminum MC trailer -
I paid $450 for a real nice 3 rail MC trailer with spare tire with a large aluminum tool box-

MANY people get the 8 foot Harbor freight trailers --
The HF trailers are good and cost Much less- the only thing you have to do is make sure to put new grease on the wheel bearings-
the grease they come with installed is shit and will make the bearings fail for sure - -

Thanks guys. The nearly identical tractorsupply trailer didn't look that much more expensive than this one. Should I pass this one up and wait or make an offer?

I meant to link this one,http://www.tractorsupply.com/en/sto...-single-axle-trailer-1500-lb-payload-capacity

Price on the craigslist trailer is ok, if you're giing to get that one offer $800, maybe $900 tops. The point I was trying to make is a 5x10 trailer is way bigger than you need for hauling a bike. A 5x8 is plenty big enough and those are $550 new. I have a tractor supply 4x8 and I can fit 3 bikes on it!!

Thanks exit90 for the clarification. So I turned that trailer down (didn't even make an offer) and less than an hour later, this one came up for sale.

I'm going to see it in less than two hours! I had asked him if the price is negotiable and he said no not too much because it's only been listed since yesterday afternoon.

Is an offer of $700 reasonable? FYI new the same trailer sells for $1095 before taxes and without that odd ball jib crane.

trailers with the wide ramp cause a lot of wind drag /cross wind problems
for no reason unless you need it for a 4 wheeler - or moving furniture/ stuff-

with flat bed you still want to have U channel to hold front wheel in place but it can be made removable -

the hoist is very cool -- modify to make bike lift by adding L shaped arm or something to it -

Harbor freight folding 4x8 trailer does the job. I believe I paid $270 for it? I know it was under 300 bucks for sure. I still had to pay for the two pieces of plywood. It sure does like to flex, but hey, it never failed on me  You do have to put it together though.

Coming back from a 500 mile round trip. 2 bikes, 2 riders, all gear, etc. That's probably 700lbs of just motorcycle weight on the trailer right here:

Coming back from a 700 mile round trip.

I have since upgraded to a truck, and sold off the trailer for $275.
