I took this from the CSM Facebook page.

From me though, I would personally like to give a HUGE thank you to ALL the CSM board, all the volunteers, the racers and a HUGE shout out to the people running the concession stand and all the good food they made.

---------------------------------------------

Round 1 Report:
We were ready for a mild turnout, and to do some learning. Instead 40 riders showed up! 24 of you signed up for asphalt only, which made for two great heats and mains. The grids were well populated, and the racing looked good all day.

The weather was fantastic, and it really sounded like everybody had fun. Dave was glued to the gate and radio all day and Case was scrambling to get all the rider registrations in and crank out race lists and grids for our scorers.

We will continue to make adjustments and improvements, and really dedicated to providing the best experience we can for everybody coming to our races.

All in all we had a blast.

An enormous thank goes out to everybody that helped flag, score and otherwise just give us a hand. It takes many more bodies than you might think to make it all work, and we're very lucky to have some dedicated friends willing to help us out.

Thank you all for coming out to race. And we will see you out at Bremerton in a few short weeks!!

Huge kudos to Case, Dave, Debbie, and all others who made this all happen, and run smoothly!

Very excited to see so many sumo's and for the next race!

Here's my view of the 450 Sumo Class Race. I ended up in 8th after the heat and had a bad start, but through attrition and some dirt passes I ended up 5th.

So glad to hear you had fun and liked the way it ran. Yes we had some hiccups early and still learning but things are and will get better and smoother

FYI, the dirt at Bremerton will be way better than the first round and that dirt section (TCKC) is going to be better. We went small and easy not knowing how many new people would come out. :D

See you on the 18th at round 2 in Bremerton :bannana:
