Hey Guys, yes, true. I have a new SM700, I ran the first heat cycle on Thursday after work... no problems. Bike has 30km on it. Friday after work, I was planning phase 2. No start. Everything is as normal, obviously, stand up, run switch 'go baby', clutch in. Not a sound. All lights on, horn working... but, press the start button, she's no go.
Off with the seat, check all fuses, 100% fine. Fuse on the starter solenoid fine too. Tightened all cables, earth straps... charged battery overnight. Still nothing.
Ideas??

So power is coming on, but not start not even hear any starting sound, then it sounds like start is caput
So can you take start out and test it, will it spin when put some electric or nothing
I dont know, when that bike is so new, would be easier to go dealer, warranty:unsure:
Check codes and possible security lockout. That bike is beautiful I might just have to buy one.

I have the exact same issue. What’s going on!?
If there is warranty, your local gasgas dealer is near by, drop bike there...Is the fuel pump prime, when turning keys on

Gas Gas gives you 30 days of warranty. I bought the bike 2/11/23 and have put 80 miles on it. Completely stock.
No when you flip key on there is no fuel pump noises.
Ok, then that is pointless bike to me, when the end they can make this happen in the ecu if want...

But then i would take electric meter and start to measure. Are there coming any current in anywhere, then when there is no warranty, i would take all plastic out, check every wire connector, also test those main wires are there any power etc..
Good luck for that with the new bike
Took it back to the dealer. The ECU was still in Dealer Mode. The dealer didnt clear it out so the bike would know its been sold. The Dealer mode either has a limited number of "starts" or "Hours of run time" etc before the ECU shuts the down from being restarted. Im assuming its to prevent theft from a dealership.

It dealer doesn't set it up in new owners name you have one hour of runtime. As told me when I bought my 2023 700. Dealer had to deliver 3 and 1/2 hours the next day because the KTM network was down for registering new bikes.

idk I just know the dealer said it was his fault bc he didn’t clear out the ecu that it was sold. I had ridden it well over an hour I can tell you 100%. I had prob ridden it 2 hours. I had 84 miles on it and none of that was interstate. It was all city riding and country roads.
