this happened few months ago after i bought some cheap cone air filter and around i think 2 months after i started to get permo issues
List of problems:
-cannot start without choke even if temp is around 30C
-usual top speed is around 100kmh on flat, now downhill cannot go past 90kmh and while going downhill max throttle bike bogs, doesnt accelerate and every few seconds for a second dies like it ran out of fuel then comes back
-sometimes would just start to accelerate over or to around 100kmh like nothing is wrong with the bike
-from 3rd to 4th on a slight uphill from 50ish kmh barely accelerates and runs like shit like when full throttle in 5th (top) gear and is like that till 58kmh when it starts to run better
-on a downhill when accelerating full thorttle from 1st when going through gears in 1st it sounds like its boucing on the redline and when going faster and faster and going in higher gear it sounds like top rpm for the gear is lower and lower
-on same uphill no matter what season with same carb setup just factory air intake bike does 70kmh in 5th or 4th cant remember now only viable option is around 60kmh at high rpm almost redline if i upshift too low rpm, bike starts to slow down
- probably something is bit wrong or i forgot to add something to the problems since my memory is pretty ass

This week or weekend ill try to put something over intake side of carb and run it without cheapo cone filter to see what happens, problem with factory intake is boot that connects carb and airbox is ripped in few places and cannot be replaced, its made of rubber and ill try to repair it somehow if its possible.
Valves were never adjusted as far as i know, if you think that could be one of possible issues let me know, dont remember at how many k's valves were last checked but then they were fine
Carb was always in factory setup and run fine without problems in below 10c and above 30c without issues, i tried to tune a/f ratio during summer manage to do something but didnt do much since i dont know what im doing when tuning

What bike , what carb ? I'd say you need a rejet after the intake change , it's lean , moving more air.
2008 Hyosung xrx 125, stock carb but not sure if there's any branding on it, will try to see if there's anything on it after work
If it needs rejet shouldn't it run like shit from start and not ~2 months later?

So what changed... were those cheapo filters oiled and now worn off? Did it get wet over winter?
If it's been run hard & lean for two months maybe you've done some proper damage now.....

My advice would be to put it back to stock & see what happens, give yourself a true starting reference point.
