There was a guy on the corner of Manchester & Aviation/Florence, by the R/R tracks in Westchester/Inglewood border, that I have taken quads, dirt bikes, to sportbikes, car, & boat seats to that he has re-foamed to & reapholstered from scratch from just the pan.
he's done great work shaving the foam to lower the seat height & using the supplied stock cover or have made one from scratch on bikes as well.
If he's still there he is a artist & master @ his craft.
I haven't used him in 3 years so I don't know if he's still there (been there for like 30 years) or alive for that matter.
ck him out if you want a great job done.
kinda grouchy, but just laugh & ignore his mumblings
he or his wife do the work & there good people
 On the grouchy part.
I live ~ 1/3 of a mile from that place. I drive
by it 3-4 times per week.
It appears that the business has closed down.
Everything is still there, but, the lights are off
and the security screens are up.
I have not seen it open for several months.
He may be an artist at his craft. His prices sure
reflected his opinion of his work.
Between the grumpy attitude and his estimate, I
walked out of his shop and never looked back.
My loss, maybe.
Depending on what you want done and where in LA
you live. I may be able to suggest a couple of places.
One in El Segundo and one in Santa Monica.
Jeff So. Cal.
:laughingr Funny, I'll have to see if he's still in business when I'm back down there, I have his # but @ my Cali House, because he used to only come in when he had work (that minni mall just north of him is his as well, & he owns the property).
I forgot there's a guy in EL Segundo (where my house is & I grew up there), Don't have that # off hand either :headscrat
Loyola Auto upholstery on eucalyptus st. is the place in El Segundo.
I'd have to drive by the place in Santa Monica to find out the
name. It also is primarily and auto upholstery place, but, they race
bikes @ Willow Springs and support some other riders as well.
Jeff, (sorry for :arsenal the ole'grumpy guy) :bike:
