i have a 07 drz400 with full yosh pipe, FCR carb and stock gearing. i can do a wheelie in first without even thinking about it but i cant for the life of me do it in 2nd!!! wtf? also does it make sense that my bike is winding out at 60 mph?
2nd gear 15 -20 mph engage the cluch maybe half way give some gas let the cluch slip out of your fingers cover the rear brake .
start out small dont give it to much gas till you get the feel of it
good luck:thumbup:
One other thing...you might be subconsciously sitting forward to avoid the front coming up. I used to do it on my 650 and had to mentally note and tell myself to scoot back when I went to do wheelies. I was so used to sitting forward so I could take off quicker without the front being straight up and down hehe! I haven't rode a DRZ and I don't know what you weigh so it may be clutch up onlys in 2nd for you?
