I found a VOR 503 thats street legal and in my price range, but I have some concerns about it being a useable street bike. It sounds so tempting to have a 60rwhp supermoto, but it also sounds inconvenient to get 55 miles per tank and 300-400 miles per oil change. What about parts, will I be able to get any?

Whats the deal with no oil pump thing, how does that work? Can someone explain to me what the hell this thing is?

Does anyone think that this is a good idea for my daily rider, only about a 5-8 mile ride each way, or am I crazy in my motard withdrawal? Does anyone think that I should jump on this one of a kind bike?

By the way its a '99 and he is asking between 4-5k, rebuilt, ported and polished.

"...but it also sounds inconvenient to get 55 miles per tank.." Well usually your butt is so sore that you are happy to stop for fuel :D .

"...and 300-400 miles per oil change..." Time wise it is nothing. How about fitting a oil cooler for increase capacity and and longer interval for oil changes?

"...What about parts, will I be able to get any?" When you get something "exotic" there is a price to pay, I would nt deal with something that have little/bad support. Some stuff is the shit to get for my KTM, I just cant imagine for a VOR.

Have you test driven the thing? Maybe that would settle a bunch of issue???

forget the oil change... what are you gonna do when you need a water pump gasket? valve shims? piston rings?

then its going to be one expensive pile of shit taking up space in your garage.

trust me- there's a reason the guy who is selling it wants out.

after a second thought... you want a commuter bike, right?

and your looking at an exotic, 65hp, high maintenance, parts eating, super light race bike?

let me guess... you probably also want a God-fearing, home- bound, good moral woman....

with the body of a stripper and with the mind of a gutter.

get real dude... :infrandom

Hmmmmmm

I just got an Husqvarna SMR 450 and it is pretty trick. Parts are totally available and the price was fair. It has a plate, and for not being uncorked it goes pretty good, The bigger bikes would be better for freeway type riding but the 450 is a near track ready and makes a good street bike you could race too....... just my 2 cents. Ive seen bikes on ebay and if you look in the bay area craiglists.......Good luck getting parts for the VOR

I was thinking about starting a new thread for this, but some of you might think that this on is still appropriate.

Will a 2004 Husky 450smr be a useable street bike? Can it be run on CA pump gas? What is a fair price for one thats all stock?

If you still think I'n insane, then please be specific as to why.
