Just an inventory check for any of you looking at this suit for 2011.

All sizes and colors are available currently for the Alpinestars S1 Supermoto Suit, except EURO BLUE 50 and 52.

And- Motostrano will beat any price on this suit, including any shipping deals and any "cash back" deals, plus we know the suit. It's what we recommend for supermoto protective gearing right now. A great protective apparel.

I got confirmation from the good folks at Alpinestars that the S1 suit is basically being discontinued. This means that if you were considering getting this suit, now would be a good time, because it will be gone very soon.

i can help with sizing at your request. most sizes are still available at this time in both colors, but inventory levels are dipping

Ok, so I want these leathers and I want them pretty bad, only thing is, is that I have no idea what size suit I'd be!
I'm a 34"-36" waist in pants and I'm 6' tall 200lbs.... What size suit would I need??

Thanks guys, and will the be replacing this suit with another supermoto type?

Hi Dave

I recommend a size 56 for you, keeping in mind that these are sized in euro, so that is 46 US.

You and are roughly the same dims and Im a 56 as long as I lay off the brewskies for a week.

I wouldnt expect a suit to come out from Astars any time soon. In the mean time though we are aggressively pushing the MVD and GIMOTO stuff as well.

still lots of stuff available to you (and we have a couple more sizes of this S1 still)

we have 4 or 5 other options available to you at the moment, each of which are specifically made for Supermoto and are super high quality stuff.

The GIMOTO SMR suit http://www.motostrano.com/Gimoto-SMR-Suit-p/mt01.htm

We import Gimoto direct from ITALY. You can even get your suit custom tailored or custom designed. If you race, we can also do up full race logos, numbers, name, etc. The suit is light, part leather, part textile. Has room for knee guards, etc.

GIMOTO has a new design for 2012 too http://www.motostrano.com/GIMOTO-SMR12-MOTARD-Suit-p/smr12.htm

You know about the MVD Gear, I assume: http://www.motostrano.com/MVD-Racewear-s/2292.htm

If you prefer a 2 piece MX style set-up, the MVD pants are really burly and protective. Hard to convey their thickness over the web. good stuff.

last, but not least, we are soon going to have stock of the R-Speed leathers, also out of Italy and which can also be custom sized for you.

http://www.motostrano.com/R-Speed-Supermoto-Leather-suit-p/r10001.htm

and if none of this works, the hump it is. Alpinestars is doing some $600 suits right now that can work for SM

lemme know if I can help further.

'preciate the info! I gotta admit the Gimoto suits are very nice looking... I'm not a racer so that level of customization isn't needed but I'm a shorty and may or may not fit into a fixed size so knowing they're customizable is definitely a +. Anyone wanna speak up about the Gimoto suits? Would be cool to hear from someone who's been using one for a while.

Sidenote: that R-Speed suit looks like a sack of potatoes :anim_peep: Could just be the pics!
