This route is unbelieveable! It's 77 miles, one-way, from the Fogelsville Hotel to Knoebles Amusement Park. The route has non-stop off-camber, tight switchbacks, with tons of 15(suggested) MPH hairpins, combined with plenty of fast sweepers. The pavement is mostly new, and very smooth. The portion of Rt 339 is the only slightly bumpy part. The trip will bring you thru continous elevation changes, and only a few small towns. The scenery is second to none. Traffic during the week is practically non-existent. I've never riden the route on the weekend, but I imagine it would still have low traffic conditions. I've got the origional tank on my XR650R and have no problems finding gas stations. I love the route so much, that I don't have a different way back, because I always want to simply reverse the directions for the way home. I live on the route, very close to the Fogelsville Hotel. email here me if you want someone to ride along with you, or atleast join you for a beer postride, at the hotel!

Can you repost the link to the route? I've been on 125 a few times (amazing) and 339 once. There are so many nice roads in the area. I'm hoping to take a ride up that way again, hopefully in the next few weeks.

I'm trying out this Googlemaps for the first time, and having problems saving the route properly. I just edited the above link, but you will need to highlight the whole link, copy it, and then paste it in your address window. I know there must be a better way, but I can't figure it out.

It's definitely worth the ride up from South Jersey. The route itself is a 5 hour long holligan-fest(2.5 hr one-way). Your welcome (or anyone else for that matter, I've got the space) to trailer the bikes to my house if you'd like, I hate riding the highway on my XRR.

I was talking to him today, I think this Sunday it going to rain. But I told him you like to head out early, like start off around 9 - 9:30 is that ok?

There should be a couple of guys that are up for this ride, even have someone with a new 690 SMC that's not even a week old, told him it's a perfect ride to brake it in on.

I'm always up for a quick burn. especially on weekdays, weekends are OK, but more difficult for me to schedule in. Send me an email, [email protected] anytime. it'll go straight to my BB for a quick response. Last minute rides are my specialty!
I just checked out "XR650r_sm" picture on another thread. It looks like mine!

The weather looks good nuff' for Sunday. Who's in? Somebody wanted to start early to finish early, so how about 9am start at the Fogelsville Hotel. We can change the meeting place and time, I'm just throwing that out there. Also, we don't have to go all the way to Knoebels, I know plenty of great roads close by.

That sounds great. I am about 23 miles from there so I'll leave at 8am so I can take back roads. I hope there are lots of gas stations along this route, my XRR seems to get unbelievably bad mpg. I'll pm you my cellphone in case anything comes up.

I just checked those roads out on google maps, and they do indeed look sweet. It'd be an extreme monkey-butt scenerio to do it in one day on my XRR, maybe I'll do it on my R6 instead.
As far as the ride goes tomorrow, don't anybody worry about gas stations. I've got the tiny stock tank, and have to stop all the time for gas also.

I'm up for the ride but I might not ride all the way with you guys I have got to leave for ky. btw I'm going to come down 78 from hamburg area. btw I know some of the roads near 44 and 144 I drove truck up there and if you guys want a weekend trip I could show you some nice areas around brookville and the such. it would be a nice long weekend trip though you won't turn it in a day unless you want to be beat tired.

Dodger it's right off of the I 78 exit Rt 100 North, once you get off of I 78 you turn at the first traffic light, there will be a Arby's and a Long John Silver's on your Left, make a Left go threw one light and you will see a Chevy dealer on your right and then at the stop sign the hotel will be on your Right hand side and the parking lot is in the back.

Count me in I'll be there at 9am.

And if anyone needs gas before hand there a bunch of stations right down the street if you go 100 South.
