Agenda for Fontana race.

How is this race going to be run?

In the infield? Between Superbike/Supersport/etc..........?

Is it going to be any more expensive than say Grange? Race fee plus $10 pit fee.

I don't want to be shelling out for $50 pit pass/entry fee or whatever per person just cause I got some Superbikes running around.

I was wondering the same thing. Maybe email Don Canet at supertt to find out.
I ran this race two years ago when they first had it in the infield part of the raceway, prior to that I think they ran it outside the raceway.

You had to purchase an AMA ticket to enter the race track plus your race entry fees to run the Supermoto races. I think they had a bit of a discount for a two day race ticket but I think it was still $30 or $35 bucks. The heat races and some mains were run on Sat. with the expert and a few other mains run on Sunday. They pretty much ran all day with a break scheduled around the Superbike race. I think that is how it all went...that was a few years ago and many many bottles of Jack Daniels and a few good crashes from racing.

I might have to pass on this one, I hope not cause I already promised the little ones.

But I can't be coughing up $35 times six people plus race fees :headscrat
I hope we don't have to pay full entrance price. This is the closest race to me so I was going to bring a couple of friends to see what supermoto is all about. At $35 per person I will have to give it a miss also.

I already told my son that we would be racing there, he's chomping at the bit now for supermoto.
last year there was a discounted fee for those racing plus 1 "pit crew" or extra person at that discount price. It may be a little more expensive to get in but is well worth it if you are a fan of motorcycle racing. It's our home court and is nice to support the sports we love. After all, these events wouldn't happen if nobody went to see them. Plus, there are so many spectator's there that don't really know too much about supermoto (at least the last couple years. i bet most of them know what it is by now) but, there's always a good crowd on hand to see us race and the event has been a ton of fun over the last few years. Definitely one of the more high profile rounds. It's certainly one of my favorites throughout the season.
I agree that it is worth going. I went to the Fontana race last year with my dad and brother who were in town from back east. I didn't race the supermoto stuff last year but went to watch and it was more exciting watching the SM races then it was the AMA races....at least the SM races you could see the entire race! I had only been to Fontana once and that was the year before when I raced the SM races and never had a chance to go walk around and check out the AMA races so last year was a first and needless to say I wouldn't pay to go back to watch the AMA races, I thought that track is pretty poor for watching the races (silly Nascar tracks) but the way they lay out the SM races is nice and allows for watching some nice racing.

But if you do go race, get there early and try to get a decent pit space. The year I raced I got there a little late and had to park it next to the KTM Semi-truck, not fun and the pits were pretty packed.
Ok it sounds like I'll be there if there is some discount at least for riders. Just a small point but when I raced shifter karts in the UK nationals and europe we never had to pay to get into the circuit. You would always pre-register and get 4 "free" entrance passes for you and your pit crew. It seems odd that the competitor has to pay to get in. I guess I'm not fully Americanised yet

I wonder if the superbike riders and their mechanics have to pay to enter the circuit?
They do, whether it's superbike, supercross, etc.
It seems that the spectators are there to watch us. Seems like we should get a little break since we have to pony up entry fees. :headscrat
Its one of the best events you can go to. It is a blast to race there the same time the AMA guys are going at it on the big track. Last year was so much fun. The Superbike tix are at a discounted rate plus race fees, well worth it if you ask me.
The agenda for Fontana is up on the SuperTT website.

Who's bringing what? :D
I'm entered on my wife's KLX 110. Bring it on Chili Cheese Racing!
Where can I get tires?

I'm going to give this one a go. I'll be out in the vet 35 class on the Sunday, wobbling around getting lapped and feeling very stiff! :D

In years past it has been a part of the regular admission.
Gate Fee:

STTARS receives $0 of the gate fee, 100% of the gate is paid to the Superbike event promoter (California Speedway)
All STTARS riders and crew will be required to purchase a Superbike event ticket to get inside the speedway where this year's SupermotoTT course will be located.
California Speedway will allow each registered STTARS competitor to purchase two discounted weekend (Sat-Sun) event tickets for $30 each. Normal prices are $30/day.
A registered competitor will receive one vehicle pass and is allowed to purchase one additional admission ticket at the reduced price for a friend, family or crew member. The discounted tickets are only available for purchased at the STTARS registration tent located next to the credential office.
Additional friends, family or crew will need to purchase tickets (general admission will suffice) at the standard fee from the normal ticket sales booth located at the tunnel entrance into the infield. Please visit www.californiaspeedway.com for advanced ticket sales.
Children 12 and under will be admitted free (with a paid adult) into the general admission areas.

Anyone notice this? This might be a fun way to waste a set of tires

"Bring your motorcycle to the Suzuki Superbike Challenge and take advantage of Fan Laps. For only $10 guests can take their own motorcycle on the AMA 2.36-mile, 21-turn competition course just hours before the “Big Boys” compete for Southern California bragging rights. Have your own little bragging rights, when you ride your bike on the California Speedway racing surface. Fan Laps will be taken during the lunch hour on Saturday and Sunday. The cost is $10 per day, per bike."
