Anybody have there SMR 450 just lock up and stop running? Think she is BANG!!!!!!!! Looks like I will have a 530 soon :thumbup:

rebuilding or selling it? How many miles were on it?

Only 2500 miles.....Will definitely rebuild the motor.......These bikes Rock!!!!!!!!

My motor was worn out in about the same # of miles. If you don't break them in super soft they have a tendency to wear out quickly. I know of TE450s that have 10k+ miles on the stock motors without rebuilding, they were broken in soft.

Got 27000km's out of my 450smr and the next owner did another 10000km's last time I spoke to him. Mine wasn't broken in soft either. Don't know what the reason would be for the early failure.

On the plus side looks like a new stroke bore and TC cams will make the pain go away!!

Should hear today or monday what the update is on the motor ? Keep yer fingers crossed.

Broken Rod. Good clean break is what I am told and it could have been worse.
2-3 weeks to get her back sucks!!!!!!!!
