I'd say $6K is a good buy on that. Looks to have the OEM front brake MC and caliper which is barely adequate for the street. No mention of miles/hours but it looks pretty clean in the pics.
In a nutshell, if you're worried about residual value, you should find another hobby or mode of transportation. It will be laid down once or twice, hopefully just plastics, grip, lever and a bruised ego. Mileage is also a killer, once it hits 12-15,000 miles it becomes harder to sell.
Back on topic, what are other SMs going for in Minnesota? Here in California a plated anything holds its value fairly well. I see crap on CL for more 30 years old than I paid brand new for it. Does it sell, NO.
I think they hold well. Dad just gets worried. What other bike is a good on road off road? I always have had a dirt bike so I love the power aspect. My brother has a 690 KTM and that doesn't have the power that I would like someday. But for now i can't afford something like that
If he weighs 300 pounds and you weigh 125 pounds. In the dirt you should own him regardless.
