Is $3900 a fair price for a stock 2002 Honda XR650, with 5 hours?

I have no Idea I am new to this and am activly looking for a deal.

Any help with this would be great.

Is changing the hour meter the same penalty as changing the odometer? Is the hour meter thing accurate? I feel strange trusting this hour meter thing. Can anyone shed some light on the subject for me>

The hour meter is nothing like the odometer. I'd sniff around and see if the guy has all the paperwork for service/parts. Make sure things add up, i.e. buying the meter at the same time as the last overhaul. I say overhaul because I assume it's 5 hours on a fresh motor. How can a couple year old bike have only 5 hours? I know it's possible but not very likely. If you can, take someone who knows bikes to look at it with you.
