Hey everyone!
I'm seeking some advice, I'm thinking I might be able to do something myself, otherwise I need to wait till sunday to take it to the Dealer.

I was riding on the highway doing around 170Kph 9000rpm or so (not constant, had to lower speed and accelerate due to traffic), at some point I felt the bike losing power.
Everything was still own and the motor was running but no throttle control.
Losing speed, motor dies, down shifted and stopped.
No leaks no fumes or funny smells no nothing!
All the wiring looks fine, switch turned on, display working.

Trying to start, starter working fine no weird noises, bike won't start.
turn off, try kill switch (as I read), turn on, try again, nothing.
I did notice that I get 400rpm but the motor is not running... just the starter trying to work.

Checked battery, all is good, charge and voltage is right.

Anything else to try/check?

This is gonna sound stupid but is there gas in it? I ran outta gas and it acted exactly as you described...my fuel light never came on waring me and I forgot to reset trip meter to know when I was getting close....

Other than that check the 30 amp fuses, others have reported that fuse blowing and having similar symtoms to yours.

When all else fails visit www.apriliaforum.com/forums alot of knowledgable folks over there who are very helpful.
Dont fret, Im sure its something very simple.
Good luck,
Spence

Yep, Just refueled 10KM before it happened and it was full.
I'll try checking fuses today and maybe check wiring.

Can't even begin to think where to start.

One more thing...

When the bike is turned off and I'm in 1st gear pressing the clutch...
It should roll with no problem right?? :headscrat
For some reason it doesn't :wtf:

Not necessarily. If the engine is hot/warm, then yes. But if it has been sitting and is cold, then it won't roll easily if in gear and using clutch.

Ok,

Check list:

Fuel - check
Oil - check
Battery - check
Starter - check
Left side fuse - check
Wiring - (what I could see) check

Disconnected battery and tried reset - check, no go
On/Off plus killswitch - check, no go

Left to check:

Plugs
Right side fuse box

--------------------
Is there a way to see through display if there's any errors?

Cleaned the plugs.
Had a burnt fuse on the right side fuse box.

Had a spare there too, switched.

Bike started like a charm!!!
Wish I knew it last night when I was on my way to my GF and had to take the bike home instead...

Happened again...

Just in order to keep all the information here for future reference...

Problem Description:
While riding 5th gear doing some 160+/kph the bike dies and loses power quickly.

Cause:
Burnt (Yellow) 5amp fuse.

If I'm not mistaken it's the Fuel pump.
Happened twice, last time it happened I switched to (Red) 7.5amp fuse and it seems to hold.
After the first time heard some weird noises (after I replaced the fuse) from the fuel pump are, a clicking noise.
It seems to have gone away.

I discovered my bike was properly set and prepared, going to take it to the dealer on Sunday the bite someone's head off.

Summery of issues so far:
1. Low idle rpm
2. Plugs were dirty (cleaned after first time)
3. Display was set to "Enduro" which gives you wrong data.
4. Fuse keeps burning
5. Fuel pump noise

It appears my particular problem is caused by the fuel pump.
The bike was not working as intended because of it.
Hence the RPM change etc,.

I'm currently still riding with it until a new one arrives, changed the Idle for now to compensate.
Other issues will be addressed by Tuning the bike from scratch once we replace the fuel pump.

For now I got extra fuses just in case :)

* I hope all of this info will be useful to someone someday.
