Im at 7800 miles and i have a spot that seems to rub on my rear rotor. Its audible when im going slower. Seems to be warped maybe? Too much heat from braking?

Anyone else have this? Should i try and straighten it or buy a new rotor? The caliper moves freely and the pads are still very meaty yet. :headscrat

Helps me pals.

Does the rotor move freely?
On my '06 it even rattles a bit, and someone else here complained about how sloppy it was. What I am saying is that maybe it is not warped but just not floating as it should.
If it is warped, you will never be able to straighten it, a replacement will be required, used should do if you can find one.
good luck

Yeah it moves freely... side to side and on the diameter. I just flushed the entire caliper/pads with a blast of brake cleaner and blew it out. Have to see what it does.. guess I'm ordering a new rotor when i get new chain and sprockets.

Thanks for the reply. Just wanted to see if i was missing something.
