gas cap

HI Everyone, I'm trying to get the gas cap off my 2011 FS570 for the first time. The weird thing is the way the bike came, the gas cap is sort of turned to the right, meaning the top of the cap is not parallel with the handleb ars.... i try pressing the release button but the lock doesnt seem...

i got a sweet deal on a 06 supermoto tank on ebay black ,perfect shape for $41 bolted it on went to put the cap on it doesn't fit (california they always have to be different). the guy i got it from doesnt have a cap. a new one costs 80 bucks. are there any after market ones that will fit. or...
