Default School Nov. 13th @ Grange

We are excited to announce the Silent "H" Supermoto School @ Grange Kart Track in Apple Valley California on Friday November 13th!

This school is designed to help you suceed at riding a Supermoto in the street or on the Track! You will dissect the track with Pro Coaches, and learn their speed secrets.

This is what we will be working on with you:

Supermoto Set-up: Suspension, Tires, tire pressures, general maintenance, tire warmers, and all the small things to go fast.

Braking: including trail braking, getting in and out of the corner, braking in the dirt, applying the rear brake smoothly.

Clutch Control: Learn to use the clutch to drive into the corners smooth and with confidence. The smoother you can enter the corner the faster you can exit!

Throttle Control: When to roll off the throttle and when to get on the gas!

Putting it all together: It order to get into and out of a corner quickly you have to master brake / Clutch / Throttle Control. This is the core of the class and the secret to going fast on a motorcycle.

Line selection: We will spend time talking about track mapping, walking a track and seeing how the lines link together and why.

Passing: How, where and when to pass.

Body positioning: We will work individually to get your body in the right spot on the bike. Find out what really works for supermoto.

Riding styles: Are you a road racer and have no idea what to do with that foot....we will get you comfortable with riding foot out. Look at the top Supermoto riders in the world.....not one of them rides supermoto road-race style!

And of course....Backing it in! We will teach you when and where to back it in....and when not to back it in.

and much more...

It is all these small things that can help reduce those lap times dramatically. We have literally seen people reduce their lap time by seconds.

Tentative Class Schedule:
We will start at 9a.m.
Classroom- 9am-9:45am
On Track School: 10am-12
Lunch 12- 12:30
On Track School: 12:30-4:30
Student Open Practice: 4:30-Track Closing

The course fee is $200.00. The fee includes the school, food, and drinks.

This is a rain or shine event!

Silent "H" Supermoto Schools offers gift certificates in any dollar amount.

School Cost: $200.00

"Honey, I'm taking out the trash. See ya Saturday."
"Let's go for a drive in the country today."
"I'm not feeling well, I'm going out for some beer, uh... I mean air."
"I'm scheduled for the other wife on Friday; lets plan something for Saturday."

and my favorite...
"I just got some new sliders for my bike. I'm going to go try them out on Friday."

Nice to have, but you do not need sliders to ride at Grange. And who is planning on falling anyway. lol

Well, going out when the track is a little slick is great practice. We will be there to learn technique not looking for great lap times. I just did a private lesson there and it was great. When it is a little slippery, people really understand the importance of the techniques and why it works better!

I'm planning to attend but I won't be able to commit until next week. I'm still trying to work out the logistics of getting me to Grange and then me and everything else over to Willow Springs afterward.

Will Grange be open Thursday night for camping?

I don't think you can camp inside the gate unless you arrange this with Jim at Grange. Call him and ask, he is such a cool guy he might let you. We will be finished by 5, so just take the 58 over to Willow. It is a pretty easy drive from Grange.

Crap!
I'm out.
Carb sitting on the kitchen table will keep me from making it to the class.
This sucks!

hell no. it was beautiful. perfect weather. just a little chilly the first and last hour but couldn't have asked for better weather otherwise.

thanks again, gary. i had a great time and learned a lot. i can't think of a better way to get started in supermoto than by taking your class. teach me how to do things right before i form bad habbits.

good riding with all of you. we had a good group.

Yeah, thanks Gary. I'm looking forward to trying out my new skills. After my foot heals. I got x-rays and its not broken, just majorly swollen. Actually the doctor told me, " stop being a p*ssy, this kind of thing has happened to Gary Trachy a thousand times!"
Also thanks for the advice before I left about just go out and have fun.
