I have, I still don't know what it is exactly. Is it where the side of the tyre has developed a corner? Or when the rubber is all bumpy from little bits of ripped up rubber? Is it a really worn down tyre?

None of the above. It's where you can still see unused rubber on the edge of the tire.
It implies you've not leaned the bike over as far as the tires edge will allow,
thus being a "chicken". The wider the strip, the more of a chicken you are.

No doubt. Zero chicken strips on the rear = quick rider, zero on the front = a whole other level of skill. I'll go first, only pic I could find of the front from a gnarly off road day.

I can't lose the front strips on the street yet. Just on track. I can't imaging how fast I would have to go on the street to lose the fronts

agreed.. just lost the fronts this weekend at the track.. i've never had rears on any of my bikes from the street, but some of you guys that have balled up rubber from the street are just plain nuts.... or maybe it's just the self preservationist in me as i get older talking.

rear... (maybe i need to drop my tire pressure some more )

front... kinda hard to see, but they're all the way down.

That's why I had NO idea why someone would show a pic of how much of a pu**y they are. I clicked thru to find "the misnomer" shots.

I will check my tires tonight, but I am pretty sure I don't have any track berry on them: soft slicks with 25hp = no wear
    (it's a YZ85).

So I checked my tires, and while there is no chicken strip, there is no berry either.
As far as pressure goes, I run 20 psi for now: got to get those soft tire up in temperature somehow...

PS: got a YZ85, with 17" Dunlop slicks.
