Why can't I find a link to send Ed Kuhlenkamp an email? Does he check these forumns? You know, I love this sport as much as the next guy but I think it is messed up how everybody is trying to make it something it is not. I mean look at these quads; what the hell are they doing on a supermoto course, kinda dumb. It gives off a amaturish vibe. I read read CycleNews alot and I'm encouraged to read about guys who take pride in motorcycling. So I guess maybe I'm a purist, I would just like to see Supermoto as a sport. Leave out the quads and the Side-by-sides, all that stuff makes us look confused and disorganized. Kinda like the AMA. It will be hard to sell a product to a sponsor if you don't know what your selling.
On that note we should try to have some sort of acceptted structure too. Some of these mickey mouse tracks I'm seeing online are embarassing.
I like what I'm hearing from supermotoonline.com but I just wish I could contact this dude to let him know what I(as a racer and a fan) like and don't like. East vs. West sounds like a good idea and I'd take it a step further by running it in conjuction with some regional series. That would keep cost down for Kuhlenkamp and give some revenue to these local promoters. A rule book would be a nice touch, alot of professional racing series have them.

Just a couple of notes: There are many things going on behind the scenes that many people aren't aware of, like the possibility of working with the regional promoters, class structure, rules, and a series website. There are many people putting in a lot of man hours to get this thing rolling in time for 2010. But like Ed said in his last update, if everything isn't in place in time for 2010 then the series won't kick off until 2011. Running a series half assed will not sell the sponsors and Ed knows that and is doing everything in his power to ensure that won't happen.

Send him an email, the address is on the site that was stated in an earlier post. I think you'll find your email, and any suggestions you have, welcomed.
