Default Official list of KTM Tested/Approved Tires...

So I am hunting around for a recommendation for a new set of tires for my 690 SMC. I really like the Supercorsa Pros that it came with, but they are now discontinued. So I am thinking about getting the BT016 or the Contiforce SMs. I did however come across the official tested and approved tire guide which I thought was kinda cool. Here is the statement and i linked the document with the lists of tires.

"In your interest: Tire tests are a fixed component of KTM vehicle development. With the knowledge that tire design has a powerful influence on handling, the KTM development department has been busy with intensive tire tests for years. Motorcycle tires are a fixed component of the overall vehicle concept. KTM tests possible tire mixtures for duration and performance under different conditions
(rain, heat, race track, handling) for optimal compatibility with the vehicle. Only the tires that stand the extensive test procedure with regards to high speed stability, steering accuracy, handling, wet and dry grip and wear, receive a recommendation from the KTM vehicle engineers - and with it a "green light" for daily motorcycle life."

I was surprised that the BT016 and the Contiforce SMs were not on the List for the 690SMC but were for the 690SM... Any thoughts or a tire recommendation? Haha

Who said the SC Pro's were discontinued? I know they stopped making the supersoft sc1 front, but I've run sc2's front & rear on the track (on my gsxr1000) with no issues, other than the rear having trouble holding up to all the high-speed left-hand turns at Miller.

I was pretty sure they stopped making/selling the Supercorsa Pros in a 160/60/17... Or at least Cyclegear and motorcycle-superstore.com have failed me...

I found 'em in 120/70 and 160/60 at temecula motorsports:

Looks almost too cheap to be true here:

they even make them in 150/60 size. not all stores offer all sizes, especially when there's little demand for them.

I have the BT016's on my smc, and I love em. They heat up quickly, great grib, good life.

The Supercorsa's were really dicey here in cold wet Seattle.

supercorsa pro's were discontinued at parts unlimited in the 150 and 160 in sc1 compound. so if anyone has them listed better make sure they come from their private stock. I bought a 160 2 months ago, and they only had 5 left in the US. and it was a great deal. should have bought them all now that I think about it.

Pirelli went to the Diablo SuperCorsa DOT race tire. They are every bit as good as the old Dragon SuperCorsa. They wear quick and are expensive.

    Default Anyone try a 170-60 on a 2008 690 SM-R?

Was thinking about giving about them a try as I'm pushing the 160's limit and was wondering if anyone has tried a 170 in the rear.
