I'm gonna race novice, and if I can find a DRZ by the end of the season, I'll do sportsman. No butt hurting here, 1st, last, whatever...I just want to hang with the cool kids.

Yay! I want a First-teeenth trophy.

I realize I am generally confused, but who exactly is it that is going to be showing up for novice and sportsman that has people so butt hurt? Especially considering the amount of IMI pro-practicers there is now.

From what I have seen I met one new guy for novice, and can name 3 from last year that aren't racing this year at all (or just a few rounds). There are few new sportsman bikes, but most are familiar faces anyway so what's the sports-manopause all about.

I guess we'll see Sunday.

I thought the reason you wanted Novice A & B was so that nobody got discouraged finishing at the back of the pack? If they're on track at the same time...that problem isn't solved. In your scenario, all that would happen would be that 1-3 get trophies...and so do 16-18? So you'll sandbag your way into 16th place so you get a first place trophy?

you spilt the divisions at sign up or after the heat races or whatever.

im just proposing a class structure thats similiar to motocross. dont they divide up thier groups into a,b,c? being on the track at the same time, is to save time since we only use the track till 1pm. they did this at last years ama amatuer races in utah.

(but all this is dependand on how many people show up. I'm excpecting the series to grow dramatically again like it did last year.)

Wow- four things out of Sears that I totally agree with.

--second one will work if we get enough folks coming out (and I still think we need to go to moto 1/moto 2 combined scoring like motocross)

Successfully encouraged a ton of new expert/pro riders in the sportsman class for fat payouts.

Developed weiner to face pelting as a sandbagger punishment.

Bro-hug contingecy is in the works for the premier class.

And most of all Mr. Davis and Mr. Sears are very passionate about the sport and regardless of the ball busting that is a good thing. Spirit awards for both of you fine gentlemen. In just 5 days you will get to race and be happy.....unless you are too fast on your DRZ....then you'll be seeing hotdogs flying.

I answered this on page one.

Payouts were based on participation. I had no influence on that.

Classes with growth, or growth potential were altered. Sportsman was bumped due to the growth that class saw last year. 450 was decreased since the same riders, for the most part, are in 450 and Unlimited. It was an atempt to spread the wealth and make it a more rounded pay-out scenario for riders running diffferent classes.

they are just jealous of how awesome i am. if people have fun posting sears this and sears that every other post then that's fine with me. i know im the greatest thing to happen to supermoto since the slipper clutch.

but, fyi some people have earned the right to talk smack. some haven't. personally i don't make fun of someone just because other people are doing it. those are people i don't care for.
