My buddy has one....he runs his on Gasoline.

He's RIDDEN on ice a few times in Alberta. More traction with ice studs than on pavement he tells me, I've never done it.
I feel like I'm reading at a fourth grade level, not because I'M stupid, but because so few others on the internet can write beyond a 4th grade level. !!

That doesn't look like a drz to me?? Correct me if I am wrong. Looks like a 2 stroke to me. I meant how does a drz400 do on the ice.

    thanks

    I said no i wouldn't do that!Henece the KX!
I see ya got a MX bike in your avatar,,,,,,stud it ride that one.
The DRZ would be a good ice bike, but alittle heavy in my opinon.Much cheaper to tear up the MX bike.I've worn'n thru headers, fenders, blow'n tires, bent rims, and broke alot of plastic.
    No down time with MXer.
    None with the 3wheeler either.

I thought you were being sarcastic. mx is gone ....I want a drz sm so I could run on the ice and street. I only ride for fun on the ice....rivers and streams around here and a couple lakes.

Just gotta score a set of dirt wheels and switch back and fourth.
It'd be pricey to find a pair of 17" tires front and rear just to stud.

You can get a 2 stroke cheap, and ice her out.CR,KX,YZ,etc,250 or 125 for $500-$750,$40 in screws.Leave her jetted for the cold, with liter oil and hammer down.
Otherwise prep between the road ice set up would be killer.
    Just my 2 cents.
