Facebooks awesome, saves alot of money with communcations with my friend.

My wife plays Farmville anytime she's home, but I don't care.
Some of my friends are addicted to Mafia Wars and I don't get that at all.
BUT, just yesterday I found one of my best childhood friends through Facebook.
He now lives in California, but he's coming back to Ky. in Jan. and we're going to get together.
I haven't seen him in probably 35 years.

I will not down load any games or other crap people are always sending you threw face book. Many have viruses or worms imbedded in them......cost a friend $2500 because it gave some scumbag his bank account info.

Never list your birth year on Facebook. Birth day is Ok, but not year.
Gives scammers, 1 more piece of info in their quest to steal your identidy.

I'll admit I was hooked on Mafia Wars for a time there, but it's gotten old. I've gone back to using FaceBook to keep in touch with people.

Never use software that you don't know where it came from. Do you know the name and address of the company you are dealing with? Can you sue them (or burn them down or kick their ass) if they screw you over?

Never use software until you understand the owners business model. Nothing is free, how are they making their money? Selling your info?

Never use apps on FaceBook. When you use an app, that app has access to information on all your friends. Can you say "I just boned all my friends".
