Hoverbikes? No wonder he seemed so fast. Zero co-efficient of friction.

I guess MGKT isn't the only track in America with paved jumps, colonial beach is giving the Herrins a run for their money.

You've never ridden Road Atlanta or the old Talladega GP track, have you?

Thing is, there is no jump there. I did not think there was even any significant bump. I think their is a dip in the asphalt, but not big enough to stand out in the pics. I guess his suspension is pretty stiff and it was enough to toss him up a few inches.

headshake gets bad through there sometimes....especially braking for that hairpin turn. luckily, all of this makes us all that much better when we go to the perfectly smooth tracks

Yeah - makes sense, huh? Braking is spooky sometimes.

Awesome picture, that's gotta be while on the brakes though. I didn't think that area was that rough that you could get the bike to skip like that under power, sweet though.

Agreed. I'm glad it decided to rain the day after picking up the newest addition to my stable.

Sweet Husky. What size? I think if I was to get something else it would be a Husky or an Aprilia.
And the picture? No, I don't think they were on the brakes yet. Kevin isn't sideways.

I got the 450 so I can race in more classes. The marginal gain of the v-twin with the aprilia didn't seem to out weight the potential maintenance and reliability issues which is why I went with the husky over the aprilia.

    This is true, crazy picture.

I chuckled when I read this. Donovan asked what was funny, so I read it to him. He just looked at me and nodded saying "Yep, that's the truth!"

Could be the fact that the thrust from all of his overflows spewing all over the road section is pushing his bike into the air. Is there no catch can requirement at all? LOL

We race in the pit area of the drag strip. It is covered with oil, gas, anti-freeze, etc. Nothing we could spit out of the bikes would do anything worse to the surface. I've had "puddles" of oil on the track from the previous nights drag racing that I've mopped up (about 4 quarts worth) & then spread some fast setting cement (MotoGP trick) to absorb what I couldn't wipe up. Even then I put a bale of hay and cones to split the racers around it.
When you don't have a track handy you make do with what you can get.

My hoses/vents were either blocked or they were ran into the airbox...
