Tm testday last weekend: pics and vid
last weekend a small dealer organised a trackday in bruges on a small course normally used by driving schools.
for us this was a unique event because in our area, flanders to be more specific, there are no tracks around and the overall public opinion on motorised sports is far from great.
the dealer is a TM distributor and the idea was to organise a trackday for 30 riders and also give people the oppurtunity to testride a couple of TM bikes, the 530 smr and 660 smx.
the day started out wet on a rather chilly november morning. good thing I put my bike on rain tyres so I could still have some fun out there. later that day things started to clear out and the track dried up. it was a blast, the track wasn't all that big but it was fun with a couple of really technical and some faster sections. Adrien van dommele also came out to play, he's one of the top riders in the country. his family is the importer for TM here in belgium so it's no surprise he's putting his skills to use on a built 450 smr (65 hp claimed) and a prepped 660 smx (80 hp claimed).
we hope to organise more events like this in the future. usually when we hit the track we always got at least a 2 hours drive ahead of us, this time I was 20 minutes from home which was kind of nice. got home and was stil able to clean my gear and the bike before it got dark.
