    Default Chain Advice

I am picking up my dirt wheels tomorrow to slap on my SM over the winter for some Trail riding. Well my chain is to short to put the 49t sproket on there for the dirt so I thought I would just buy a new chain and then put the old one back on next summer when I put the SM wheels back on. What size chain should I get. I know it needs to be really long to fit that 49T sproket. I am running a stock front sproket.

Just count the links on your old one and add whatever you need. They come in like 116 120 135 like that, just buy long and break off what you dont need.

    Are you on TSR also?

I know the stock E sprockets and chain are 14/47 with 112 links.
I just swapped out my 14/41 with 110links, to 15/44 with 112 links. I'm a little past midway on the adjustment range. I would bet you need a 114.

Buy a 120 chain, put on your sprockets and mock up the chain and cut it down.

The cheapest oring chain I found was here:

List 149$ for 80$, DID xring 120 links.
