The Ohlins are aftermarket, I'm pretty sure. The guy lives here in the UK and I've never heard of one with golds as standard. So yeah, must be AM. But he has poured loads of money into it I'm guessing from seeing that vid.

    Default F.n.g.

Hello everybody. My name is Brandon. I'm 29 years old. I live in Fresno CA. I have been riding dirt since I was 12. My first bike was a '78 RM400. I have been riding street for 7 years. I sold my GSXR about a year ago because I needed the money. I am looking to join the SuperMoto world really soon. Currently looking to get my first SM. So as of right now I am bikeless except for my RM 250. I am a Suzuki lover so I am on the hunt for a DRZ400SM. I hope to make some friends in the SM world here.

    Rubber side down,

    Brandon

    Talking Hello Guys and Gals!

Hello everyone! My name is Oliver (Dalton to my friends), I've been a member of SMJ for a little while now, but I haven't made an introduction yet so here it is. I'm a 19 year old kid who lives in Greenville, SC, who has taken an "abnormal" interest in Supermoto over the past several months, and am planning on picking up a bike of my own during the remainder of the year. My mom, step-dad, and step-brother, all have owned/currently own bikes of their own, so I'm aware of what I'm getting into. I used to ride quads (dirt bikes a couple times), and I'm pretty big into mountain biking/trail riding (not involved as much anymore due to location).

Over the past 6-7 months I've fallen head over heals with motorcycles, and have been teaching myself as much as I can about them. I hope to join you guys and gals out there soon.

    Wink Heya!

Just thought I'd introduce myself, I'm a 16 year old guy from Finland, I don't have an actual supermoto yet, but I do have a 50cc supermoto style bike . Right now I am completing my light motorcycle card, and I am extremely exited because I am almost done . For my first actual bike I will hopefully been looking at a WR125X! When I hit 18, I will be upgrading my card to get a more powerful bike, and that definitely going to be a supermoto . I have been following sm races since I was ten, and I have loved the looks, sounds, feels and the riders of motorcycles for even longer :P. When I get my card done, I'll definitely visit more frequently

    Default Hi. fellow supermoto devotees.

Hello all. Just a quickie to introduce myself. I am Adam, ,nickname Glida. I an old hand with bikes (35 years) but new to sumo. Two years ago I finally had enough money to go buy my first new vehicle. I bought a 2011 Huski 630SM. My first “non-road racer” Loved it from the moment I rode it. Over the next year I put a full Leo Vince X3 system on it. . Got the power up kit fitted, and a basic map loaded in by the dealer. The best thing I put on the bike was a set of Pirelli SC1's. I was scraping the footrests out on the local roundabouts as soon as they were scrubbed. In 35 years it is I am sure the furthest I have lent a road bike.
Of course some parentless a**hole decided that they liked it more. So they stole it from me 3 weeks ago.
The insurance paid up. I just did a deal to buy a 2nd hand 690SMC-R. 1800km’s, full evo 2 kit fitted by dealer at first service. I haven’t even ridden the bike. ‘cos a busted my collar bone 2 weeks ago. I can tell you that a 690 enduro (the local dealers demo bike…ouch!!!) comes out quite well if mashed into the side of “u” turning Holden Commodore .Better than the rider in any case! I used to fly well when I was young. This time I just endoed over the bonnet/hood of the car and crunched in a busted heap in the road !!
Still these are the things that make us stronger. When my bones heal I will be on that KayTeM to shake it down. I know that the maps are all to cock. The owner is running it on the softest map. Because it stalls, and mucks, about on the others. I noticed that it didn’t return to idle crisply/properly when I was giving it the once over. But the bike is mint. The owners mature (in a supermoto kinda way) I am sure that there is not anything really wrong with it. Just that pesky fuelling/throttle mapping thing, that is the subject of much debate on this and other forums.
When I am back on the saddle I will be hoping to get and give some useful information from and to the forum. But winter is setting in here in Australia. So I don’t expect to get much sorted until the skys clear in September/October.
    Cheers all.
    Regards.
    Glida.
Is this where I put a list of all the bikes I want you to think I have owned ?

    Default A quick hello

I'm Chad from Mechanicsburg Pa. I'm a welder and mechanic, new to street bikes and supermoto. Had dirtbikes and quads since I've been in high school. I'm 37 now and always wanted a street bike, so thought a SM would be a good way to go. I picked up a 05 KTM 450SMR that's street legal, but it needed put back together. I have it running now and hope to have it on the road soon.
