Not sure what year, but its not an '09. I see a carburetor hiding in there on the left hand side shot which rules out the '09.

had a 400d myself, then upgraded to the 40d just because of the size and got bit by the upgrade bug and bought a 24-70L. between cameras and motorcycles i'm broke as a joke.

The wheels will run about ~2k for the set. Quite pricey but worth it.

So lets have a build breakdown, what'd you do, parts/pieces? Something that pretty is a shame to not tell us what was involved.

Taffy (or anyone else for that matter), where can I get a set of those graphics made? I would really like something similar in red and white for my 500AF build.

To do a 450R with that level of amazing requires from 10-20k and an imagination. My more bland bike has about 10k in aftermarket parts in her, but you would never know. These bikes whore money

Sweet ride!!! you better keep that locked up in the garage unless you have a portable HP washer! With all the excitment from the posted responses you will probably need to clean jizz off it before you ride after a crowd gathers!!!

Hi Taffy, have you dynoed it? Do you know how it handles? I'm sure it's a blast to ride.

I'm telling you, you must be a very patient man to have done such a beauty and have not ridden it so far!! ..if you haven't.

I would die having that bike in my garage and not taking it for a spin...on the other hand I admire you for your patience...I guess that's how great bike like this are done with patience, dedication, a great imagination and even bigger pockets!! ;P

Good luck....please do keep us posted on your progress.

I'm from Malta and will be coming to UK to watch the Silverstone GP will you be going or do you live anywhere near Luton? Perhaps I'll manage to see the bike and get all the guys here jealous?
