got a few questions

I'm wanting to buy a dirt bike/supermotard. I'm looking at XRs, CRFs, DRZs, or WRs. What i'm wanting to do is have a dirt bike for the weekends and a street bike for the week. My biggest questions is whats the difference between a 250, 400, 450 on the street, I have driven most of them on the dirt, but not on the street. I would also like to keep it cheap, no more than 4000 if possible. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to any one that answers.

one more question I see people saying that XR 400s don't have alot of power. How much would a pipe, jet and air box give you?

Theres a huge market for used in that price range. It's all in what you want. How you feel about maintenance...etc, etc. I'm partial to the DRZ because I own one, but WRX owners will tell you the same thing. The DRZ would probably be easier to find the dirt parts for since Suzuki makes the same model in both trims. Usually find someone parting out a DRZ on E-bay.

working on bikes is not a problem, I have rebuilt many dirtbikes and 4wheelers. Right now, I like the DRZ 400 and the XR 400. i'm more of a honda man myself, but im open to ideas.
