    Default K&N oil filters?

Anyone use K&N oil filters on their SMRs?
I can get them super cheap at work, in a day along with my oil.
But If the KTM OEM filters are better, I'll stock up on them
    Just looking for some input

    thanks!

I just installed the KN157 and KN155 in my 08 SMC. That was 50 miles ago and nothing has blown up. That is all i can say.

I had a difficult time trying to get the old filters out as I did not have the special pliers. I decided to use a small drill bit and very slow speed to put a hole in the center of the old filter. The few small shavings from the drilling just fell to the floor. I was then going to screw a course threaded wood screw into the hole and pull on that. However, thedrill bit alone gripped well enough to pull the filters out.

I have installed a K&N filter on my 690 SM.

It made a great difference in the comportement of my bike. No more stalling or hesitating. It seems that it compensates the richness of the Akra map I have loaded with my Wings cans.

A must-have mod for me if you have loaded the Akra map (or cutsom map).

From a few sources of information, the best is to open the air-box but this needs for sure a dyno run.

I have used the 155/157 K&N OIL filters in my SMR with no problems at all. I have now found that bikebandit will sell the hi-flo filters much cheaper.

I suppose I may guess "none" because nobody knows where it is.
