    Question chain issues

    I HAVE A 2008 YZ THAT I HAVE TURN INTO A SUPERMOTO. I NEED TO FIND OUT IF YOU GUYS HAVE CHANGED THE REAR SPROKET, AND IF YOU HAVE TO WHAT? IM HAVING TROUBLE ADJUSTING THE CHAIN. IM RUNNING STOCK SPROKETS FRONT AND REAR AND THE CHAIN WONT TENSION UP WHERE IT NEEDS TO BE. AT THIS TIME IM NOT WORRIED ABOUT THE CORRECT GEARING RIGHT NOW JUST TRYING TO GET THE CHAIN RIGHT. STOCK CHAIN IS WAY TO TIGHT. I HOPE I HAVE EXPLAINED THIS RIGHT AND MABEY I CAN GET SOME HELP, THANKS

    Is this the origional chain if so you have changed the sprockets to the point where

    you need a longer chain. If it is a chain you have just purchased send it back and

    get one with more links. Also the chain adjustment blocks have two sides, one side

    is shorter then the other this will give you more chain slack. The other side is longer

    it takes up slack when you run out of adjustment on the small side. You may have

    switched to SM rims and flipped the chain blocks to the longer side and now

    you don't have enough chain slack, which is VERY BAD don't ride until the problem

    is corrected. Hope this helps

    I Have Stock Sprokets Just Not Sure About Turning The Blocks Around The Other Way To Make Them Longer. Ill Have To Take It Apart And Find Out Thanks.

    is it a new chain????? if you are using the sprockets you took off the dirt wheel and stock chain it should be the same no matter what wheels you have...

    Yes It Is A New Chain, Stock Sprockets And I Have Cut The New Chain Just Cant Get It To Work. Too Much Slack, Cut One Link Out And Its Way To Tight. Thanks

    you can look at the chain adjusting blocks without taking anything apart look at where your axle goes through your swingarm at each end of the axle is where you adjustment blocks are you will see that the blocks have 2 different ends.
