    Default East coast dealer referral

    This is my first post of hopefully many.
    I am in the market for a sxv 550 and I am looking for a nice used or new one. I have a budget of about $7000
    I am looking for a dealer on the east coast. I live in Florida. Any recommendations?
    Is this a good choice for a motocross guy looking to get into supermoto?

    from a reputable dealer or used? Saving money on this bike by buying it from the wrong dealer will cost you thousands later.... Please do your homework before buying..

    I just put a deposit on a new 2008 SXV 550. I paid $6399 plus tax,
    shipping = $339
    Setup = $300 - Said they would remap it and de restrict it.
    I paid $7300 OTD

    theres several folks who have bought the bike from a dealer that failed to set it up correctly and have major regrets as they have had nothing but problems.....I wont mention their names but a few are/were members here and at apriliaforum.com...

    Homework is talking to the tech at the dealer to make sure he's been to the sxv tech training and he knows all the intricacies of this model..... also post up on af1 to see what the experience has been from others relating to this particular model.... You will absolutely love the bike Im sure, I just hate to see anyone get burned by an incompetant dealer.

    Interstate in Cornelius NC has two of them in stock. Asked about them last week. Not sure if they were looking for 8 or 8500.

    Well I got screwed by the dealer before I even got the bike off the lot. I have been trying to contact my salesman asking where my bike is that I paid for. I left a few messages and was told yesterday I would get a tracking number and an answer. Well no one called me back.
    I went in today to find out what was going on and was told by the sales manager he couldn't get me an 08 and he knew that two weeks ago. No phone call and all I got was dodged messages and lies about tracking numbers.
    I guess ill have to try and find another one and my sleepless nights will continue. Anyone know where I can get one? I know there are some big rebates in them now too, so ill keep looking for a good deal.

    Got 340 miles on it, all new graphics kit, hand guards, sliders, smaller rear sprocket 42 tooth, Pipercross air filter, new seat, black supermoto front fender, black side panels, TAG Rebound technology grips (reduce handelbar vibration and hand fatigue) All my bikes have these.
    I like it but I don't ride it enough.

    Tell me ablout the seat you bought? I hate the stock seat on mine, but haven't found an online dealer to sell aftermarket seats for the SXV.
