Does anybody race in parking lots or small tracks? I'm in Houston and I need to get my feet wet before I road race in the CMRA.

There is a track out in Katy that people ride at. That or you could ride mini-moto at the golf coarse.
The Katy Kart track forum guys say the owner of the track doesn't want big bikes on his track. He thinks they will tear up the track due to more horsepower.![]()
Sounds like someone needs to educate him.
I guess you could do track then.
I'll just find a large parking lot and then make everyone sign an ownership clause, making them an owner of the club. So if they sue, they would sue themselves. Then I'll have an agreement with the parking lot owner to charge everyone with tresspassing if anyone sues. It's hard to sue when you're in jail for tresspassing.
Thack, simply hit up some trackday shows. Lstd is one. Ridesmart, Texas Trackdays another. If you have concerns about big speed any trackday at Grand Sport Speedway should keep your motard under the Radar so to speak. Get your CMRA school out of the way(licenses) and go to Oak Hill Raceway at MOST any time (schedule permitting). This should get you up and going.
Hey Pic 311 was that enough schooling for now?
Thack, look me up at any of the CMRA races. WR450F #255. Later.TJ.
Just a little north of you is the Oklahoma Superbikers. They run in Oklahoma City and Tulsa. www.oklahomasuperbikers.com. They run mini motard and big bikes, and have some races with dirt sections.
