Well, those don't have any hard armor so they should break in quick. I have the Vertigo Air pictured below and that's why I bought them. Even with all the hard armor on 'em they were comfy right outta the box.

You wear those on a 'tard? I have that same pair (excellent boots BTW), but I only wear the Gaerne Supermoto boots on the SM. The Sidis seemed too...delicate?

Yep, sure do. I've had them for about seven months now and they seem to be holding up well. I got a good deal on 'em too, and at the time the only sumo boot was the Gearne or the Sidi, both roughly $500. When they get chewed up I'll probably go to the new Astars SM boot if I can track down a pair to try on. ONly problem is now I'm spoiled with the Sidis and I know a MX boot won't be quite as comfy, but will have more protection.

Easy fix, get a pair of Sidi MX boots with their SM sliders. I'm still wearing my Force SRS' from 5 seasons ago on my MX bike.

They are nice, but IMO $500 for boots is farking crazy.

Thats why I got the Force SRS, they were "only" $350 when I got them. So far they are on their 4th set of soles and second set of heat shields. Now the new ones (the Crossfires) are pretty rediculous and whenever I retire my Sidis I'll either have to suck it up and shell out the cash or settle for something else. The problem is they are so comfortable it actually is a hard decision.

The bad thing is the Forces are kinda hard to find anymore since they have been replaced by the Crossfires. As far as fit goes we'll put it this way, whenever we go to the dunes whenever we get done riding everyone else can't take their boots off fast enough except me, I just leave mine on since they are about as comfortable as sneakers without getting sand in my shoes. Sorry for being a bad influence, I have a problem with that...

We ride 'tards. Dunno about you but I commute on mine. There's something not right in the head with anybody who really likes these things.

Don't get me wrong - I love my Vertigos. Ventilation so good my feet don't get hot in Houston in August. What better validation could I offer? That said, on sport bikes my feet stay on the pegs. On the SM, not so much. I already had a set of Gaerne SG10's for dirt use, so getting the Gaerne SM boots was a natural. What good are hobbies if you can't use them as excuse to buy cool gear?

Yeah, I agree. I just bought a Renazco seat, Go Pro helmet cam, and some stuff from Ryan at 50 stunt. I could have easily bankrolled the boots. Maybe later in the year the new Astars T7 SM boots, I've been looking at them hard. Prolly sell the Sidis while they're still cherry and get most of my money back.

honestly no complaints. they're a little clunky obviously compared to a $300- $500 pure street boot but i enjoy that factor.
