    Default Got me DRZSM

well today i made the trip to get my 05 DRZSM from a fellow board member (hrc nick 11 thanks again! ). I feel like i got a great deal ($2800) for a bike with about 6k on the clock. Its got a few trick dodads here and there but she needs jetted HORRIBLY. if your not flogging the piss out of it then it sputters and kicks. Is setting up the jetting pretty easy on the DRZ? Flat out motorcycles is just down the street from me and they got 2 AWESOME guys at jetting. Im gonna do a few custom touches and change a few things to suit me better but the bike seems ok to me at the moment. I didnt get to ride it too much because its like 45mph winds right now and sand all over the roads. heres the pics

congrats! tomorrow im going to look at and hopefully buy a 2007 with about 4000 miles on it. and a full yosh system, jet kit, 3x3, and fender eliminator. For $4500. But it needs a new rear tir so hopefully i can talk him down to about 4200. The only thing really stoping me is my father. He doesnt seem to like the idea very much? WISH ME LUCK!

Hey nice bike glad you like it.

The jet kits come with good instructions getting the carb out of the frame on a drz sucks its a tight fit. Installing the kit is easy and they are normally pretty close and come with instructions for your set up. I think Moose (really dyno jet relabled) are the ones that have jets for the 3x3 mod.

Also the thumper talk forum has lots of info on them.

Be sure to check the pressure in the tires I did not do that and its been sitting all winter. I think street tards run them about 26psi on the street but its been a while since I have done that.

First, you need to give me that titanium system or trade me for my stainless system.

Second, buy the James Dean jet kit if you have the stock carb.

+1 on the JD jet kit they are awesome. FYI throw some duct tape on your frame when you pull the carb. makes things way easier.

duct tape is a great idea, we used shop rags! you should just take the stock one off and throw on an FCR, they are real fun to shove back into the frame

    Default That Tank

I'd like to know which aftermarket tank that is and where you got it and it's approximate cost. I'd love to put a plastic tank on my drz sm for a variety of reasons....
