Question I am having a REALLY hard time with this decision PLEASE HELP

So i got an XR650L awhile4 ago for 500 bucks, i broke the frame, and just recently finished selling all the parts for wAY too much over ebay- i ripped you all off came out with about 3000 from those parts and another 1000 that i have saved up between bills. I now have a decision to make
Crf450r=- already supermotoed for me or a 600cc sportbike????

this is probably a biased crowd, but ill give you a quick background, when i had my half-a$$ed supermoto, i wanted that sportbike since all my friends had one, when i borke my XR I have missed it everyday since. But at the same time, still want that sportbike, I will not be racing either, but will be commuting everyday and of course that fun weekend ride.

Here is what i am looking at. ALSO- is this a good price????

Although I'm a diehard supermoto'er, I think you'd be better off with a sportbike. Riding a motard with a group of sportbikes isn't much fun, and riding two up on a motard while trying to chase sportbikes just doesn't sound like a good idea to me. Just my .02 as usual.

You are definitely sportbike material and you have let your friends and girlfriend make that choice for you. Please turn in your man card immediately and proceed to the nearest exit.

Seriously, I think you'd be happier with a sportbike. A CRF450 (no matter how it's geared) would not be able to comfortably keep up with your buddies. The longer the ride, the worse the torture would be. Besides that, the first ride your girlfriend would want off two blocks from the house and you would never see her again.

Sportbike for sure!! You can always save up for the sumo later. This would for sure keep your friends and your girlfriend happy.

well guys thanks for the input- The CRF i went after and well, got the guy down to 3800 cash, then, he called me the day i was supposed to pick it up and said he sold it. I ended up going for an older sportbike. An 01 CBR F4i. Thing looks really nice imo and is pretty good condition for being older. Thank you all for the input!!!!
