Jim, I've been watching our little battle again and again.

I've decided that next time I get the outside, you're going into the curb!

    Good video!!
Nice to see that you guys are using all of the parking lot on this one. You are lucky that you have access to this place and can ride there without being hasseled by the man.

The closest track you can "rent" is 4 hours away. We have all been to a real track, and its a lot easier to ride 10 minutes to the spot rather than drive 4 hours to the track.

I used the almighty google and found these in about 3 minutes. The resources are here. I have the knowledge of setting up a session. If I could get enough guys interested don't you think this would be perfect?

If interested speak up! I'll see what I can do if I can get enough ppl in.

Iron Rock is currently out of business because they lost their lease on the land. They were on an empty lot at the airport and the airport has decided that they wanted the land back.

The other kart track has been contacted and won't give us the time of the day, they aren't interested in making some money.

I knew nothing about the Triumph dealer but will look into it.

Houston is still 3 hours away so that's pointless.

pointless? This is supermoto not mx. Finding a SM track within 5 hours is a good thing.

Sucks about Iron Rock. Did they have SM when they were open?

I'm positive there are other venues that would be willing to do business. Especially in this slow market. Just gotta stay positive, keep looking, and don't give up.

hey man I'm just tryin to help. I'm new to this area.

I'm from PA and up there the SM scene is pretty decent. I was surprised that when I came down here that it is almost non-existent, especially for how great the weather is here. So when I see vids of guys nearby riding on straight roads and parking lots with curbs it just made me wonder why there wasn't an SM track scene.

I was just trying to help (and being around the sport for a few years I am positive I can) so if you guys don't want another rider helping the cause that's ok. You can stick to your straight roads and parking lots with curbs.

    Ride Happy
That's totally fair, spamrot. I wish there was a kart track around that would take us, and you might be right that things have changed since the last go round.

The reason everyone gets defensive when someone critiques our little outings is that we're just happy to have a place to meet, hang out, and ride at our own risk. That is what motorcycling is about as far as I'm concerned, and the truth is that it's getting pretty hard to find these days. So we're going to keep hanging out and having fun, playing with our motorcycles without endangering (or being endangered by) the general public, and posting videos for everyone else that is trying to live the dream. Come and join us!

Hopefully we'll all be at an amazing, challenging, affordable track in the near future. Until then...

    No, there's not.

ALL of the guys who ride with our little crew are great.

But if your 1500 miles away and you don't know us then say things that make us sound lazy "I found this in 3 minutes using google"..... yea we know google.

These guys live and breathe motorcycle, there is not much they don't know.

I know people are just trying to help but come on, don't you think we've thought of it.

    Nothing personal, just SM

yea didnt mean to come off like an asshat, but if you saw it that way oh well. Anyways it does suck having no SM track here. I think it says alot tho that we all agree that there needs to be one nearby. Maybe just maybe... "if you build it, they will come" haha!

That would be totally cool if we all chipped in and bought/rented a parking lot or some old kart track. I dunno... just dreamin now I guess.

    Hey kids,

I have been going through all the video stuff, building assets and editing music all day.

Youtube is being a bitch about the music so I will make a quick little highlight vid using some music I can use.

I will make a separate video that has all of the content/music, it will be around a 20 minute video that will go to DVD.

There is some great stuff including the audio of Sean explaining "Yak in the Box" It's too funny!

Maybe we can have a little party and all watch it!

Later we can post this stuff to Vimeo and start up a new thing there.

I will let you know when it is up!

I want to but right now I work just about 24/7. I have 2 tards back home: XR 600r beast and rm85 lil devil. I'm in the process of getting my TX teaching cert. and plan to do that first... gotta make the bills before playing right? Anyways I have been scoping out some decent rides north of San Antone and hope to get a crew going this spring/summer.
