People are more violently opposed to fur than leather because it’s safer to harass rich women than motorcycle gangs

I no longer have my good ol' DRZ but I swapped them nasty mirrors for GS 500 mirrors. They are WAYYY more functional and look great!

Here are a couple pictures. First is me riding at the Dragon a couple years ago and you can see the mirrors there. The second picture is at the resort and it is the DRZ on the far right.

I run a CRG bar end mirror on mine (sorry I suck with adding pics). I had our machinist at work turn down the ID and OD of my bar end so it would fit the stock fat bars. I use plastic bar ends for the track (not a fan of the looks of bark busters myself, and yes I know they can save your levers in a crash.) I use only one mirror on the left side. Indiana only says you need a rear view mirror to be legal not specifing two. I haven't been pulled over with this setup you just have to make sure you keep your riding buddies on the left side of you when your in a group. I then bought some plugs for a Ninja 250 to cover the threaded holes where the mirrors used to be. The stock mirrors didnt even make it out of the dealership when I picked up my 08 DRZSM. Brought them home though if anyone wants them?

this was my 05... my 09 will be the same once i buy them... Autozone, $3.99 for both, plus 4 zip ties to hold it to the bar... they are not super functional, but for looks are great and work. Cops have seen them an approve... since they see two mirrors. They can tilt, get the ones that pivot so you can angle it better.

Like I said, not the greatest coveraqe behind you, but they work and clean up the look. Also, are very crash proof... tested by yours truly a few times.

Aprilia SXV mirrors. Look killer and are very functional. Tuono Mirrors are also top notch.

These are the aprilia ones, I found out about them from TT. I can see a little farther past my elbows and they look twice as good and install in less than 5 mins.

Pics can be found in this thread

+1 for CRG mirrors. They are expensive, but you get what you pay for. Excellent quality, bar end mount and they fold in when your not using them.

I'm not trying to steal this thread, but are there any "bar end" mirrors that will work with handguards that bolt on the barend?

I have my set of stock mirrors in near perfect condition. They were on the bike less than a month and have since been in a box.

Here are mine. Got them from Wheeling Cycle Supply for $20 for a pair. Look great, have marginal vision. But, I like them.

I have the Black Mamba ones from Langston. They look great, but if you like to move your levers down in the front at all then the mirrors won't adjust enough to allow you to see behind you. I'm not explaining well, but hopefully you get the point.

I have resorted to this one for now. I could actually see around me. Not bad for $1.99 at Sears. The "bar-end" ones I was using, similar to the CRG's have rattled loose at the mount point(s). It was unfixable.

Only one mirror is required in Michigan.
