Nice shot TBone. It's almost like grandaddy, daddy, and son all in one shot if they were all Katooms. I like the big adventure BTW.

Nice bikes, how's the 400 exc handle SM duty? Been thinking about picking one up to convert and use as a commuter/play bike.

Jkosmo, Its been perfect from the beginning. Zero Complaints. This one is pretty heavily modded. Thumper Racing 453 Big Bore, Stage II cams, 12.8-1 Comp Piston, Big Gun Lafferty Signature series exhaust, Full beringer six piston Aerotec brakes up front, Kermaxx Carbon Fiber Bars, And soon I will be porting and polishing the head. Be sure and go with a 4.5 or 4.75 width rim on the back. The 5.0 will not allow the use of a chain guide......
HPI Guy, I am lovin the Big Katoom. All day comfort and it can rail pretty good too. Getting my Renazco Seat in April and then its perfect.

Hoping to do the trip next summer (2010) Trying to get enough Vacation time accrued to do so. I am still on track to do it though. My timeframe may be unreasonable. Looking at 7000 miles in one month. Now for most trips thats pretty feasible but for a run up the Al/Can thats pushing REALLY Hard.

Pfffft, Did El Segundo, CA. via 15 on up to Canada, then over & up to Fairbanks AK & back in 2 weeks @ 7200 miles & change on my XRR.

Got to admit though, your Big KTooM would be a tad more comfortable

p.s. wax the sh_t out of the front of your bike B-4 & often on the trip, do to the Seagul size bugs up there
    It just cleans up easier

I only wished I had a windshield, can't tell you how stinky & dripping wet riding gear is with bug juice is

two weeks of 500 mile days! Talk about saddle sore. I am being told that four weeks is an unreasonable time frame. Thanks for the advice on the bugs. When My Renazco seat gets built it should be even more comfortable.
