My first trackday this past weekend at NJminiGP karting track. Had so much fun!

Here's my DRZ in race mode.

MRD/SSW, FCR39, Suspension valved, Pilot Powers, lil Ballistic EVO 4-cell guy

Broke my shift lever first session of the day. Had to deal with this BS all day, made shifting a nightmare. Eventually I drilled a hole and stuck a bolt in place.

And here is our little XR100 mini-motard. It's actually more fun than the DRZ on this small track.

So how has everyone been getting rid of those unsightly holes in the rear fender after removing the tool bag? I see some people just left the bolts on, but others have smooth fenders. Is there a fender from another bike that fits?

    Use round head bolts.

Or counter sunk head bolts with conical washers.

Looks better then the holes or using the stock bolts that originally held on the tool bag.
06 DR-Z 434SM, with so much mods I could have bought a KTM or Aprilla or Husky or a Tesla..
But then again, I am saving on all that needless maintenance.

I bought an acerbis enduro rear fender and didn't have holes but you need to cut some of the fender to make it fit but all hid.

Looks much better than stock, I agree. How's the quality? And lighting strength? Notice any difference in wind drag/air movement on the freeway? Seems more aerodynamic than stock as well

Did you have to remount the stock cluster or is that it just sitting slightly above and behind the new number plate?
I just ordered a UFO vented number plate, planning on mounting lights behind the vents, trying to get ideas for remounting the cluster if need be. thanks.

I have a Moose brand bar pad like yours but haven't been able to get it to fit right.
I did cut out some foam but still didn't have much luck.

How did you get yours to look so good and still be able to see the instrument cluster?
Do I just need to kep cutting?

Thanks for the reply Zorro and the pics.
I'm gonna keep cutting away until I make it fit and
use your idea with the spacers.

My bike is an 08 with the big handle bar clamp up top.
The middle of the clamp is mostly for appearance.
Do you still run the stock bar clamps on yours?

    Thanks again for the reply.

Congratulations on the bike and welcome aboard...

Before you go and chop the exhaust, chop those reflectors off
Then the can... then post pics!
