Ryan Moore here, I just want to use this thread to give a little background of who I am, what I do, and how I became known as the Supermoto Stunt Man.
It all started about 5 years ago while I was going to Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo. I was on my 8th year of school, (don't laugh) studying engineering, drafting, welding, machining, cnc programing, and solid modeling with one goal that drove me through school, to build the best stand up scooter in the word, with a 50cc water cooled polini eingine, hydrualic disc brakes, carbon fiber body and 6 inches of mountain bike suspension travel, front and rear. When I was a junior I decided I needed a shop to build prototypes cuz it took me to long to get anything done at the labs at school, and my garage was not big enough for a cnc machine.
It started in the garage!

I took out student loans, and swiped a credit card for my first cnc machine and ESD Manufacturing was Born. I finally had the shop I needed to create the scooter of my dreams!
My first shop before.

Several credit card swipes and student loans later

I had the newest prototype of 5 that I had built all on the computer screen and I talked my friend Jimmy into investing some dough into the first batch of scooters. After the shop was setup, the money fell through and I was left with big credit card bills, shop rent, and and 5 more quarters of full time college. I was also left with a 2000 xr50 with a busted subframe from looping a wheelie, that Jimmy wanted me to fix. Because of the money issues, he stopped answering my calls, and he didn't bother to pick up his 50. I started takin on side work, design, solid modeling, prototyping, welding, anything I could get my hands on to make cash and keep my shop. When things got tough, I broke out the 50 to let off some steam, I sold my motocross bike to buy tools, so the 50 was all I had with an engine and 2 wheels. As I started riding it, I thought, this would be fun to wheelie in a stand up position like the streetbikes, so I made some rear axle pegs. Then I fell off the back in a wheelie, so I thought, this bike needs a hand brake on the bars, like a bicycle to control the wheelie, so I made that too. So in between odd jobs, I would make some trick parts for the 50, wheelie bar, larger handlebars, billet throttles, rider pegs, pretty much everything that needed upgrading on the bike to suite my riding style.

I started posting videos on the net of riding the custom 50 I built and people were trippin out, wondering were I got all the parts to do those tricks. So I started making more 50 parts and with the help of my friend Mark, fired up 50stunt.com to sell them. Next thing I knew, 50 parts were all I was making! After a year or so, I had this bike completely built and a ton of crazy tricks on it.

I decided it was time to talk to Jimmy again and show him what his bike turned into, so I pulled a ride by passed his house one night, bustin out combos till he came out of the house. He could not believe it was me and could not believe the parts I put on the bike. I gave him his bike back, all pimped out, and he let me ride a crf70, that felt even better because it was bigger and more stable. I took the 70 back to the shop, got some parts on it, made a video, and next thing I know, I’m sellin 70 parts also.
The 70

By this time I was itchin to ride a full size dirt bike again, so I decided it was time to get a crf450 and go real big. I told one of my friends that is a pro stunt rider that I was going to pull streetbike style stunts on the 450 and he said, “good luck”. I bought the bike off a racer at a supermoto race in Stockton that I was doing a stunt show at on the mini bikes. I told the guy I bought it off what I planned to do with it, and he didn’t even understand what I was talking about, and thought I was kinda nuts I guess.
My first crf 450!!!! This was the classified pic I found on supermoto junkie!

I bought the bike and took it straight to the stunt spot the next day, the bike was insane!! I thought I made a big mistake cuz I could not even touch the balance point on it, and it scared the piss out of me, LOL. The bike felt massive after riding minis for 2 years. I took it back to the shop and kept practicing, and trying to figure out ways to modify the bike so I could do statndups and combos. Finally I took the subframe apart and spent about 4 months, after hours, coming up with a subframe and exhaust, handbrake and spocket, all the goodies to ride it like I rode the 50. Finally the next spring I fiished and took the bike out.
My crf450 After winter modifications........Now its game on!!

After I beat on it for a while, I had to take it to another level, so I stripped it down and came up with this!!
I was an active member on some forums and was telling people what I was doing with the bike , and the only way I could explain was with a video clip. So I talked my buddie into holding a handycam for me in the parking lot the night I finished the bike and cam up with this clip
http://youtube.com/watch?v=e0B6zEoiIdw
People on the boards were trippin out again, so I practiced on it more and 2 weeks later talked my friend into working the cam again and shot this video, in one day
http://youtube.com/watch?v=bj2azOhU_mU
After that, I needed to freshen the bike up and finish up some loose ends on it, and came up with this!

That one got a ton of views and a snowball effect of media coverage and events started coming around, so I just kept riding. One day I was practicing at my spot by the shop and some random guy posted out watching. People did that all the time, they would watch for a while, then take off, cuz I ride for hours practicing the same thing. This guy wasn’t leaving, so after 40 minutes I figured he wanted to talk to me. Turns out he was a video producer from Tempt Media, Eric Stolz! So we started filming together on weekends, hittin up different spots, and the footage Eric shot was on a whole new level that what I was used to working with, so I put together this clip, usin his HD footage.

We kept filming, and doing shows, and finally made a complete DVD, Motard X Dream with a crazy mix of street stunting, urban beat downs, schoolyard sessions, supermoto racing, and minibike freeriding.

Its been an insane ride so far, now people want to build custom supermoto stunt bikes like mine too, and start killin the streets with me. So soon I am planning on going into production on the supermoto product line. Only time will tell the rest of this story.
So now you know my story, 50stunt.com is going good, Along the way I started making streetbike parts too, wich are on www.esd-mfg.com. Business is going better than ever, and hopefully I can fulfill my new goal of changing the sport of dirt bike riding forever!!
Some day I hope to finish that scooter I designed too, its still on my hard drive haunting me, along with dozens of other parts that are designed up and ready to go. So I better get back to work!!
